CENA’S GREAT PROMO, WHY CAN'T THE ANNOUNCE TEAM DO BETTER, A TAKER RETURN AND MORE

Lately, commentary have been absolutely insufferable. It's a well known fact that Vince McMahon is in the ear of commentary, and unfortunately it can get quite grating. However, I noticed that commentary were like a completely different team during the NXT Showcase match on Raw... they discussed the match, put all four wrestlers over, JBL was a heel but it didn't take away from the match, it was refreshing. Do you know if perhaps HHH was in their ear instead for the match, given that NXT has always been his project?

The difference there is Vince wasn’t trying to sell anything other than NXT Takeover. His goal with that match was to get people to watch it/buy it on the Network. The fact that JBL worked with so many of the young talents at NXT was a blessing as well since he wanted to help get them over.

John Cena delivered the promo of his life last week on RAW.  He was so good that he even had the adult males cheering for him after.  And Paul Heyman was his usual stellar self.  My question is, do guys at the top of the card like them get a lot of leeway with their promos, or are they basically told to stick to the script given to them?

Cena definitely has leeway to improvise, no doubt. Heyman gets some too since he is so good at it and such a pro. I agree, Cena gave the promo of his life. I wish we would get more of that and less of the “poopy” stuff he does. I think he would get an entirely different reaction from the folks that hate him if he did.

I know there’s no clear cut date, but, any guesses when wrestling became a complete work?

Professional wrestling, as we know it, was a work from day one.

Would you rather be a low card/jobber in WWE or some sort of champion in RoH or TNA?

Whichever one paid the most is what I would want to do. I would want to earn.

My Sensei and I are huge wrestling fans. In between karate classes, he and I talk wrestling angles, and we came up with what we thought would be a HUGE Wrestle Mania XXXI rematch, and I just want to get your opinion on this, since I respect both Mike's and Dave's viewpoints: Undertaker comes in as #30 in the Royal Rumble and wins, shocking everyone. WM comes around and Undertaker exacts his revenge on Brock from WMXXX. Just as Undertaker celebrates not only his revenge for the 21 and 1 and wins the WWE Title, Brock knocks Taker out, Seth cashes in, and becomes the new champion. I know it would never happen (especially with Taker's health in question), but thoughts?

So you book a guy that works once or twice a year to beat a part time champion, and then have the full time guy go in through the back door to basically steal the WWE Title? Yeah, I hate that. Also, who knows what Taker has left in the tank. He is not a spring chicken. I like him better as an attraction right now while the younger talent gets built up to be the main guys. And personally, I want Rollins to earn his first Title so it makes him look legitimate in the eyes of the fans.
