WWC presented their weekly house show/TV taping last Saturday at the “Cosme
BeitÃa Sálamo Arena†in Cataño, PR. No major news or information from the card.
For this coming Saturday August 30th, WWC returns with their weekly house
show/TV taping to the “Cosme BeitÃa Sálamo Arena†in Cataño, PR. Some of the
announced matches for the card that night are:

As we have mentioned in the last couple of weeks, WWC will present their event ‘Septiembre
Negro’, which will be a two day weekend tour taking place on Saturday September
6th at the ‘PepÃn Cestero Arena’ in Bayamón, PR and Sunday September 7th in at
the ‘Cancha Bajo Techo de Rincón’ in Rincón, PR. No matches have been announced
for this event yet; however former WWE Superstars Mason Ryan and Ricardo
RodrÃguez will be participating.
Also scheduled for this event, WWC has announced that they will have the first “WWE
Hall of Famer-Carlitos Colón Cupâ€.
As we reported on the site, at the end of Sunday’s edition of WWC's TV show,
there was a quick segment where 'El Magnate' Juan Manuel Ortega is on the phone
with someone reminding him how much fun they had back during WrestleMania
weekend "drinking champagne" in New Orleans.
He then refers to the person he's speaking to as "El Patrón" (the name Alberto
Del Rio is now using in AAA in Mexico) and states that Patrón said to call him
if he ever needed anything. Ortega then said he needs him to take care of
someone here in Puerto Rico and will pick him up at the airport when he arrives.
He closes the phone call again by saying, "Thank you very much 'Patrón'. Looking
forward to seeing you this week."
With that said, It appears that the 'El Patrón' (Alberto Del RÃo) should be
arriving soon in WWC. I will say this, in looking at the WWC Fanpage on
Facebook, the vast majority of fans seem to think it is Alberto too. As
reported, Ricardo will be in the island in a couple of weeks. We will have to
wait and see if they work together on any storyline or angle going forward,
maybe building something towards Aniversario 41.
No dates or locations have been announced for this year’s Aniversario 41 event.

WWL Insurrection continues to take shape.
(San Juan, Puerto Rico, Sunday, August 24, 2014) – During this week’s WWL’s “Ãdolos
del Ring†TV program, we saw the official debut of one of the most beloved
foreigners in Puerto Rico, the former WWC Universal champion and former IWA
champion, Shane "The Glamour Boy".
Shane, a Canadian wrestler who arrived in Puerto Rico on 1995 along with Sean
Morley (a.k.a. WWE’s Val Venis), established locally as a tag team in the World
Wrestling Council (WWC). There he became one of the most beloved talents in
Puerto Rico. In 1999 he joined VÃctor Quiñones’ IWA-PR, soon becoming the
promotion’s first ever World Heavyweight champion. While in IWA-PR, he was a key
component of the new era of wrestling in the island, along with wrestlers such
as ‘El León’ Apolo, ‘El MesÃas’ Ricky Banderas and Ray González. He left IWA in
2005 and debuted in the NWS. After that, he again split his time between IWA and
WWC, as well as sporadic appearances for some independents. He then went on to
work for TNA, making his debut as referee, although he was also involved in
feuds with wrestlers Shawn Daivari and Booker T. Now, August 24th, 2014 he makes
his debut on WWL’s TV program “Ãdolos del Ringâ€.
"I received an invitation for WWL; I received the letter! I am so happy to
return. Away from Puerto Rico I felt empty. I thought that my career was over.
During the past years I have had a 9 to 5 job here in the United States. I feel
the desire to return to wrestling. Not gonna lie; every Sunday I have been
watching World Wrestling League’s programs on the Dominican channel View. I have
seen all the great fighters from around the world who received this envelope
with an invitation. I got on my knees and prayed to receive one also. I asked
for someone to send me this envelope. Today, before going to work, I went to the
mailbox and found the invitation. I see it as a sign from above saying that I
must return to Puerto Rico. It is time to party ‘til the break of dawn! It's
time to rap, reggae, salsa, merengue, rock & roll, hoochie coo! Insurrection! By
God! I am on my way to WWL Insurrection on October 18 in Bayamón!" said an
emotional Shane as he announced his entry into the WWL.

Extreme Wrestling Organization (EWO)
EWO held their anniversary event “Territorio Hostil†this past Saturday night at
the “Mario Jiménez Coliseum†in Guaynabo, PR. The following are the results from
the show:
1. Sweet Nancy & Roxy defeated Achanty & Crystal
2. ‘El Hombre Bestia’ Angel bécame the new EWO Caribbean champion after he
defeated ‘El apostador’ Jack Daniels
3. ‘El Enjabona’o’ defeated Rodrigo GarcÃa via DQ
4. Bone Crusher became the new #1 contender for the EWO World title after he
defeated Rafy Rex
5. Raziel & part of ‘La Milicia’ defeated D’ Jackson & Special Delivery Mathew
6. Syco retained the EWO Puerto Rico Heavyweight title after he defeated Two
Face. After the match, ‘El Lobo’ Syler Andrews attacked Syco, takes the title
belt and leaves with it. This would mark Andrews return to EWO after his stint
with WWC.
7. ‘Los Lights’ defeated ‘El Cartel’ with some interference from Neo. With the
win, ‘EL Cartel’ became the new EWO World Tag Team champions.
8. ‘Mano de Piedra’ Luis Estilo became the new EWO World champion after he
defeated ‘The Natural’ Chase Stevens in what was said to be a really good match.
At one point during the event, there were three masked men that came in and
attacked ‘Los Lights’. After the beating, they then unmasked revealing to be
David Estilo, Bane and Ababdon, who have worked for CWA in the past.
There will be more details shared during this coming weekend’s TV program. If
you are in Puerto Rico, you can watch “EWO – El Updateâ€, on Saturdays at 12:00PM
on Punto 2. Check your listings for different channel line-up depending on cable
