WWE RAW REPORT: WE ARE FAMILY . . . BUT ARE WE UNITED?; THE WINNER FOR BEST MIZ IN A SUPPORTING ROLE; A HALL OF FAME PANEL

By Richard Trionfo on 2014-08-25 23:02:38
We are in Anaheim, California and your announcers are Jerry ‘Huey’ Lawler, John ‘Dewey’ Layfield, and Michael ‘Louie’ Cole.

We have a table and carpet in the ring because tonight we start off with a Hall of Fame Forum. Michael Cole is our host for this panel. On the panel are Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, and Shawn Michaels.

Michael Cole reminds us that John Cena will face Brock Lesnar at Night of Champions.

Cole asks Shawn if Cena can win at Night of Champions. Shawn says that his chances aren’t good because it ain’t happening. Shawn says that at every point in a man’s career you come to a crossroad. Cena is at that crossroads now and it might be time to say ‘when’.

Hogan tells Shawn, brother, that when it is your time, you know it is your time. Cena can still go.

Cole asks Flair if he agrees with Shawn. Flair says that he agrees with Shawn. All of them think the world of John Cena. He is the franchise and a fifteen time World Champion. Does Flair want to see Cena versus Lesnar at Night of Champions? No he does not.

Hogan is asked for his prediction. Hogan says that he has gotten to know John and Hustle, Loyalty, and Respect is not a marketing logo. Hogan says that he is rooting for Cena.

Shawn says that people like Cena, but it doesn’t change that Cena does not have a chance.

Hogan says that Lesnar dominated him the first time, but Cena found a way to win.

Shawn says that no one takes a beating like Cena did and comes out the same way.

Hogan says that this is the rubber match. Cena will find a way to win.

Shawn and Flair say that is not going to happen.

John Cena’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

John says that we can hear the crowd and they are weighing in on him after SummerSlam. What is going through his mind? What should he do? Everyone is talking about him, even a panel of Hall of Famers.

John says that before he goes any further, that he has the utmost respect for all three men. Shawn, as a professional and a friend. He has had some professional and recreational time with Flair. Without Hulk Hogan, there would be no John Cena.

John says that he is sick of talk of what he should do. Everyone saw SummerSlam. Sixteen German suplexes. There is no sports cliché or excuse that will let him dance around it. SummerSlam was an ass whooping. Shawn said that a fight like that changes a man. After being dropped on his head 20 times, he said that he wanted to fight Brock Lesnar again when the doctor asked him after the match.

He asks rhetorically why would you want to face that again? John says that he does not plan on that happening again. He will bring the fight to Brock Lesnar. He knows that Shawn and Flair have their doubts. Cena tells Hogan that this is the biggest night of his career. He will not go to Night of Champions to beat Brock Lesnar, he is going to beat Brock’s ass.

Cena leaves the ring.

Seth comes to the ring.

Seth says that he was the leader of the most dominant group in the history of the WWE, the Shield. There is a reason why he hand picked Dean Ambrose to be a member of The Shield. Pain was never a factor for Dean. Fear was never a factor for Dean. Dean was a courageous fighter, but last week, he had to prove at Dean’s expense that the Authority always wins. Seth says that he wants to take a look back at the match that the WWE Universe chose for the demise of Dean Ambrose.

We see the highlights from the match.

Seth starts to laugh and he asks to imagine the moment of impact when he pulverized Dean’s head into the cinder blocks. What was going through Dean’s mind? Did it even dawn on him that Dean was outmatched physically and mentally? It is no secret that those cinder blocks weren’t out there by accident.

That headache that Dean Ambrose is going to have for the rest of his life is no accident either. It saddens him that the casualty that has become of Dean Ambrose’s career can be summed up in two words. ‘What if’? What if Dean knew his place? What if Dean recognized Seth’s superiority? What if Dean had walked away when he had the opportunity? We will never know the answers to those ‘what ifs’ because it is highly unlikely you will see Dean Ambrose again.

Seth says that he is the one who created the Shield and he is the one who has destroyed it.
