It should be noted that "Haven" on Syfy, which follows Smackdown on Fridays, has been moved to Thursdays at 10 PM. Adam "Edge" Copeland appears regularly on the series.

In its second weekend, "Guardians of the Galaxy" made $47.7 million at the box office last night. The film was second to the new "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" film (which has gotten terrible reviews, so that may help "Guardians" this weekend). If you see "Guardians" this weekend and use the Shazam app, activating it during the film's credits will get you some behind the scenes material on your phone.

Paul Heyman appeared on The MMA Hour earlier this week to promote his new DVD at this link.

The Heyman Blu-Ray is currently the top selling Sports Blu-Ray on Amazon. You can order the DVD or Blu-Ray at this link.  Thanks to Robert Barham.

There were mixed reviews for the first event at the Levi's Stadium, the home of Wrestlemania 31. Business Week featured a review of the stadium at this link.

Kane was recently spotted at a Shooter Jennings concert. Thanks to Scott Alcorn.

Conan O'Brien did a bit on laid-off WWE wrestlers at this link.

Matt McAusland sent the following....I was watching another awesome cosplay video by the guys from Sneaky Zebra and who do I spy at :45 of the video playing frigging paintball at SDCC but CM Punk at this link.

The New York Post noted that The Rock was seen at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills with his “Hercules” director Brett Ratner and WME agent Brad Slater. Tbanks to Jeff Sherdian.

Corey Taylor from Slipknot sent out a Tweet doing the devil horns to the new Paul Heyman DVD. Thanks to Prestin Jones.

Wrestling artist Rob Schamberger issued the following:

Painter Of Champions to Paint Live at WWE SummerSlam

KANSAS CITY, Mo., August 7, 2014 – Renowned wrestling artist and painter of champions, Rob Schamberger, is headed to Los Angeles to participate in the festivities leading up to SummerSlam, WWE’s biggest summer event.

Starting on August 15, Schamberger will paint live outside of the panel discussions to be held at Nokia Theatre LA Live. His subject of choice? None other than the legendary Stone Cold Steve Austin, one of several featured panelists.

Wrestling fans are encouraged to stop by the theater from August 15-17 to see Schamberger in action. Several of Schamberger’s prints, including a limited edition SummerSlam 2014 print, will be on sale at various merchandise areas inside the theater.

For Schamberger, the chance to work at SummerSlam represents an opportunity for continued partnership with the WWE, not to mention a chance to paint in one of the world’s most celebrated cities.

“It’s an absolute pleasure to be doing live art in Los Angeles for the SummerSlam Confidential Panels,” Schamberger says. “LA is known as one of the art capitals of the world, and WWE is known for some of the best fans in the world. I’m doubly excited to paint my Stone Cold Steve Austin portrait in front of both.”

If that combination wasn’t enough to make any artist anxious, the event stakes recently got even higher when the Texas Rattlesnake himself jokingly tweeted a threat:

“And if you screw this thing up, you’re gonna get your ass a Stone Cold Stunner.”

As Schamberger says in his weekly video series, “Not bad!”
