WWE has launched a "Free Week" preview of The WWE Network. Unlike past free week deals, this one does not require that you give them a credit card. If you are interested in checking it out, you can do so by going to the main page of WWE.com or clicking here.
Today is a good day to start watching the Network as the 1989 Great American Bash, with Ric Flair vs. Terry Funk on top, airs at 4:30 p.m. ET and the 2014 Money In The Bank PPV airs after the Raw Pre-Game show. At 11 p.m. they are running a Sneak Peak of The Monday Night War series. Their teaser for the show is: "Media mogul Ted Turner launches WCW Monday Nitro in direct competition against Vince McMahon and WWE". I guess that is one way to look at it!
Bret Hart noted on Twitter that he will be in Montreal for Raw tonight. Already announced for the show is The Miz vs. Chris Jericho. If you are going to the show and can send a report, please send me an email.
WWE has a crew heading to Japan for three dates this week. They run Thursday and Friday in Tokyo and Saturday in Osaka. Then they fly back for Raw next Monday in Richmond, VA. That is a rough travel week folks.
Seth Rollins did an interview with The Ottawa Sun in support of tomorrow's Smackdown taping. You can read it by clicking here.
Andres Santiago sent this report. ... I attended the Florida Supercon this weekend and there were a number of wreslters there doing signings and autographs. In particular, Jerry Lawler and Hurricane Helms did a Q&A to promote their work on the comic book Headlocked with Michael Kingston. Lawler was asked if he knows anything about WWE utilizing their Memphis footage. He said that a WWE camera crew will be filming at his home shortly (as mentioned on the site last week). They will be shooting footage following a day in his life and later they will be going over Memphis library / history. So it appears they are gearing up to do a dvd release or network special on Lawler and/or Memphis.
