Of course. Writers get fired just as wrestlers get released. It's the way of the world. Anyone that thinks the creative team have an easy job just doesn't understand the weekly cycle of what they do a week.
I saw TMZ making a big deal of Pat Patterson's coming out. I thought it was well known what his sexual orientation was within the business. So, why is it even a story?
It was a story because they probably thought people would click on the story. Pat has been well known within the industry. I took his "Legends' House" confession not as he was coming out to the boys, but that he wasn't going to hide his orientation while he was out and about living life.
I am really surprised TNA didn't book a King of the Mountain match as the new replacement main event. Was there any talk about it?
Not to the best of my knowledge. I am actually glad they aren't as I've always felt it's a complicated, convoluted match with too many rules. I don't have a problem with the enew main event as it raises the stakes for two undercard matches and allows different potential combinations.
Whatever happened to Extreme Rising? Did fans get their money back? Did Steve O'Neill ever resurface?
By all accounts, Rising is still DOA. O'Neill is still working in a production capacity for Steve Karel's wrestling PPV series, but I don't believe he's looking to ever promote again. I've heard from readers who got their money back from their banks and from their points of purchase. I can't say everyone got their money back but I know of some who have.
I am going to the TNA tapings in PA. How long do their TV tapings run?
