Breaking up the Shield is about as smart a move as making Daniel Bryan a member of the Wyatts.
They can be different, IF we get a good explanation as to why Rollins did it. If we don't, then it's just another example of doing a turn to shock people. That is not a good reason to do one. They blew it with Bryan and so far have not told us WHY Rollins turned. The WHY is very important.
Hi guys, I just gave a quick question. When looking at a post you recently posted about WWE teaming up to make fatherhood easier and etc. At the bottom of the page I was reading the info about WWE (nyse), stating what they are and what they do. I realized that they gave no mention of them being a "wrestling promotion" and only state that they are an "entertainment" company, why do they do this? Is it because of what non-wrestling fans think about WWE and wrestling in general? Don't you think that misleads a lot of people?
They do that because that is how Vince McMahon sees the company. It has nothing to do with what anyone thinks but him. And no, I don't think so. If you are investing in a company and you don't make the effort to learn what the company does, you have no one to blame but yourself if you lose money.
Do you think an Ironman tournament (ala StarrCade 89) would work on a WWE PPV this day and age?
I don't think it would bomb or draw a great audience. I think it would be another "concept" show.
I went to my first ever wrestling show last week, which was a Southside Wrestling in St Neots, England and it was fantastic. Chris Hero, Uhaa Nation, Juventud Guerrera and The Hurricane all lost their respective matches, but received standing ovations or performed signature moves on their opponents after the match. Is this a regular thing for established stars to put over younger local talent at these smaller events?
Yes it is. Good pros and promoters realize that by having a bigger name lose to their guys, it elevates them in the eyes of the fans at the show.
I saw on your site that WWE is polling about a possible Kurt Angle DVD. Does that possibly signal a deal with Angle is in the works?
I think it's fair to say that WWE would not mind you thinking that! On the one hand, they can do DVDs on anyone that they have footage to do them on, but yeah with Angle's contract nearing its end in TNA, and him being one of the few guys that WWE would be interested in, I expect the sides to talk in the coming months, if they haven't already.
