We aren't encouraging WWE to do anything as much as we are pointing out what a great bargain the Network is for the sheer amount of original and vintage classic it presents. At some point, it's going to go up in price - eventually everything does, so it remains to be seen if and when that happens.
I agree 100% with Mike Johnson's column about how Seth Rollins needs to be booked as an equal to HHH and Orton. I know there is obviously a chance of an HHH vs. Rollins match in the future now that they're allied. My question is if they did go ahead with this match would it be a good idea to have them do the opposite of what you said going into the match and have H treat Rollins as "less"? Or would you go another route?
In my mind, the absolute worst thing they can do is treat Rollins as an underling to Triple H. If they want to make a star, they need to treat him as a star.
I find that right now with Indy Wrestling at an all time high this would be the best opportunity for promotions to come together and run co-joining shows (ROH vs. CZW for example). ROH has been doing a lot with NJPW lately and CZW with Big Japan and WXW. Now with Wrestle-Con becoming an annual event why don't companies do what's going to draw the most money and start running shows in cooperation with one another. I see independent fans going crazy for a Dragon Gate vs. ROH program because of the history with Gabe or getting Evolve in the mix. There is so much that can be done on the independent scene in North America alone. Best of the Best is a great annual thing but I want to see who the very best is on the Indy scene, who can beat anyone, anytime, anyplace. Thoughts?
I think the closest we will see with that is the National Pro Wrestling Day style shows. I don't see EVOLVE and ROH ever working together. I don't see Gabe Sapolsky wanting to work with ROH ever again.
Just want to know what other company would offer rehab, financial planning advice and a scholarship to upgrade FORMER employee's education? Say what you will about WWE, but they definitely offer some great things to people that are no longer employed by them.
Pro Wrestlers aren't employees and I agree with you 100%. WWE has really done something great.
Why would Paul Heyman go back to the ECW Arena since he pretty much makes it clear he's moved on from ECW?
If WWE wanted him to do it for a DVD, he's not going to say no.
