I watched the WWE Payback Fallout special on the WWE Network this morning. Lots of promos in a "press conference" setting but nothing of any real note beyond Roman Reigns stating that he believed he tore his triceps. I don't know whether that was a legitimate injury or something he said to sell the war between The Shield and Evolution.
As if there was any doubt, CM Punk and AJ Lee were sitting in the front row at the Chicago Blackhawks game yesterday. I asked around and was told Punk was never backstage at the PPV at any point over the course of the day.
As you can imagine, a lot of the crew went to Lisa Marie Varon's restaurant "The Squared Circle" before and after the PPV.
Steve Austin noted yesterday that he signed up for the WWE Network. You would think they'd comp him an account!
The pre-sale code for the 9/29 Raw taping in Chicago is WWERAWTV. The pre-sale is currently ongoing.
Brie Bella wrote the following on Twitter following the angle where she "quit" the company: "Tonight at #WWEPayback I made the hardest decision, but there's no way I could of watched my husband @WWEDanielBryan hand over those titles to that brat @stephaniemcmahon .....it hurt to say the words I quit, but felt great to feel my hand across Steph's face. #payback is a b!tch! #briemode"
