It's certainly possible as Steen did very well at their invited tryout camp and he's obviously moving away from ROH commitments. However, don't assume anything is a done deal until we've heard someone has passed medical testing. Nigel McGuinness is a perfect example of that, unfortunately.
Isn't it a bit of poetic justice that after several years of mandating WWE play down the wrestling (sport) aspect of the company, Vince McMahon got burned big time by conning himself and others into believing WWE would get a new TV deal similar to recent deals signed by professional sports leagues?
I think that depends on your point of view. I saw it as the company trying to reposition themselves, but unfortunately for them, they were going to be viewed as pro wrestling, not anything else. For the record, I thought the repositioning was a smart idea.
There is a rumor going around (which I believe was mentioned here) that WWE Network is considering a "Survivorman"/"Dude you're Screwed" style survival show using WWE personalities as contestants. How can we convince Vince McMahon and other Network officials this is a colossally bad idea? I am a fan of these shows and I've seen survival experts nearly die on them.
You don't have to convince them. There is nothing to this rumor.
With the tremendous loss of money from the stock market is there a chance Vince McMahon could lose control as CEO of WWE?
I don't think so. For one, stockholders don't have the power to remove him. Secondly, much like Walt Disney, Vince is WWE. To remove him from that company would be a shotgun blast to the chest for company perception. I don't expect much will come of all the unrest among stockholders in terms of Vince's position.
If they strip the belt off of Daniel Bryan, would you like to see a tournament where only wrestlers who have never held the world title be part of it?
If Bryan is stripped of the belt, I'd prefer they put it up in a Money in the Bank match. Do one match and get the new champion crowned ASAP.
