There is a LOT of talk in WWE circles that the 2 to 3 month window given for Daniel Bryan's return is a best case scenario, if everything goes perfectly. It could be longer than that before he returns to the ring.
The Wall Street Journal has a story on its site where they, in essence, say that while Vince McMahon is a great wrestling promoter, he lost the fight to get the TV rights deal that he had claimed WWE was worth. You can read it by clicking here.
As you would expect, the huge drop in the stock price rattled upper WWE management in a big way. They put together Monday's investors call to try to mitigate the damage. I have been told that the company is considering many different options to try and fix this mess. I am not sure what they can do unless they have great details about the TV deal that they didn't release yet. And if they did have them, I don't know why they wouldn't have released them yesterday in an effort to stop the bleeding of the stock's free fall. It's safe to say that there are a lot of nervous people inside the company right now.
