WWE didn't have any house shows over the weekend due to the impending European tour. After Raw tonight in Greenville, SC, they shoot Main Event and Smackdown tomorrow in Greensboro, NC. After that they head to Europe for almost two weeks of shows. We are looking for reports from all of the events.
The big week for WWE very well may also include the announcement of their TV rights deal. NBC Universal does it upfront presentation on Thursday and a lot of people are under the impression that WWE programming will stay put and the announcement will be made then. We shall see. And obviously, if they were to make their schedule announcements and not include WWE, that would be telling as well. So it's time one way or the other to find out what WWE will do.
It will be interesting to see what happens with the stock if/when the TV deal is announced. Since WWE announced the first round of Network numbers on April 7, the stock is down over 10 dollars a share. At present, it's at $17.99, up 73 cents on the day.
