I think ROH is the ECW of the last ten years. Do you think ROH has done a better job of jumpstarting great talent better that ECW did. ECW had classic stars like RVD, Sabu, Taz, Dreamer and others but ROH has produced guys that have made it to the top past what some top ECW guys ever did like CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, and there guys like Sami Zayn and Seth Rollins that are on the rise.
Both companies did a really good job with talent. I can't say either did better than the other. ROH did a good job but keep in mind Steve Austin really started the Stone Cold character in ECW. Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero and others got their starts too. So both contributed a lot.
Do you think that if CM Punk were to get what Daniel Bryan got at Wrestlemania XXX he would've left? I mean he has been one of their best performers.
Punk was said to want to main event WrestleMania so yeah, if he was in Bryan's spot he would have stayed.
The Iron Sheik's Twitter page: all an act, or is he really that unhinged in real life?
It's a mix of both but he is more working than shooting.
There have been a lot of theories as to what exactly prompted the PG Era in 2008. Some say it was Linda McMahon's political aspirations, others say it was the Chris Benoit fiasco. Some say that it was because WWE wanted better relationships with its sponsors, but considering that they've always had kid-catering sponsors, the shift seemed so sudden. What's your theory?
It was largely about wanting to get more family friendly sponsors, but no matter what they say Linda's run for office was part of it as well.
I know you guys have said the WWE won't turn John Cena heel, and you agree they shouldn't based on the money he makes the company on merchandise sales, but if they were going to do it is there a better time than right now. This feud with Bray Wyatt is the perfect time in my opinion. More often than not Wyatt is cheered during their matches, and his ability on mic has brought the feud to life. Wyatt's claim he takes more and more of Cena's fan each day, and the segment with the kids on Raw were excellent. It's the perfect storm to turn Cena. Your thoughts?
The only problem with turning him now is you would probably have to do a double turn and I like Bray in his current role. He is great as is. Plus, if Cena is going to turn, I want it to be really unexpected for the shock value of it, not that I see it happening. I think the most we can expect is him doing the gimmick Sting did years ago when people are not sure what his motivations are.
