What do you think of the idea of bringing Sting in to challenge Daniel Bryan as a one night only, Network Exclusive episode of Clash of the Champions, and release an old episode of it every day in the run up to the event? I see it as a nice way of putting Clash on the Network and a good opponent for Sting (if HBK is retired, Bryan is the next best thing, and having the belt means Sting has a reason to want to wrestle him - obviously Bryan goes over, respectful handshake, maybe a Sting, Cena, Bryan v Authority as the dark match.) Thoughts?
I don't like it. Sting is older and has been working for the number two company. I don't like bringing him in and giving him a title shot right away. I like them doing a slower build to a match with Undertaker at next year's WrestleMania.
Would there be any conflict of interest with Jeff Jarrett of Global Force Wrestling owning the most shares of TNA behind Panda Energy? Has Vince Russo been a consultant with TNA all this time while providing comments on screen for WWE on their productions? If so, how would this work? I thought TNA doesn't allow their employees to do any work with WWE (with the exception of Flair going into the WWE HOF with the 4 Horsemen) while under contract with them.
If there is no exclusivity agreement in place, no in both cases.
In watching Paul Heyman’s work, no one can deny his incredible skills on the mic. My question is how do you think he would do as a baby face, talking against heels, and do you see this eventually happening before his career is over?
He could do it, for sure but I think that would be a waste of him right now. He is so good at what he does, I would let him keep doing it. Down the road, when he gets older, I could see a scenario where they turn him but for now, he is so good at being a heel he has to be left that way.
The Ultimate Warrior and Bret Hart have similar bad history with the WWE. Ultimate Warrior with the "Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior" and Bret Hart with "Screwed: The Bret Hart Story." Who do you think the next superstar is that the WWE will try to defame on DVD? Most superstars come back...is anybody open game?
The next one that pisses Vince off with the way he/she leaves the company would be my best guess. People are probably reading this and saying CM Punk, but we still don't know what kind of terms he and Vince are on. And they are still selling lots of his merchandise so he is making them money, even when he isn't there.
On 4/20/2014 you answered a question that it would be a great tribute to put Ultimate Warrior in the opening credit montage, and it struck me that there are several other high profile legends that should be on there, and all are on good terms now with WWE - Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Randy Savage and Bruno Sammartino. Do you know of any reason why these legends haven't been edited into the opening montage, as these are some of the biggest names ever in the business?
I would guess that with the current workload for the Network, it just hasn't been a priority. Plus, they want to have more newer guys than legends since the show is being done in the now, not the past.
