THE UNDERTAKER-BROCK ENDING, NYC FANS AT TNA IMPACT, NANCY GRACE AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2014-04-12 10:00:40
My question has to do with Nancy Grace. One of the twitter messages in response to her coverage of the Warrior's death mentioned that she got dumped by a wrestler in the 80's. I've poured the internet in an attempt to find out who she dated but came up dry. Which pro wrestler did Nancy Grace date in the 80's? Or was this joke/sarcasm/ect and I missed it?

It's possible Grace dated a wrestler in the 80s, but who that might have been, I don't know.

I just read a question answered by Mike about the Taker/Brock match at Mania. In it he says very few people knew the outcome. That's certainly understandable but he said the ref didnt even know. How is that possible? Wouldn't the ref have to be in on it in case he had to take a bump or there was some sort of screwy finish?

The referee wasn't told and was counting the pinfall as he would any other. He wasn't aware that it was the finish when he counted. If they wanted him to take a bump, obviously they would have told him what they needed well in advance.

I have been to the Manhattan center many times for ROH and usually sells out every time. The NYC fans usually are pretty rough and not to nice to wrestlers who returned to the company after working for TNA. Guys like Jay Lethal, young bucks, even Rhino. Very vulgar chants would break out towards TNA the company, with that being said, how do you see NYC reacting toward TNA and most it's wrestlers with the possible exception of the ROH originals during the show?

They are going to react, good or bad, like NYC wrestling fans. That may not be too kind to some of the TNA talents, but others will receive a big welcome.

I do have another question for you. With the sad passing of the Ultimate Warrior if he had not been been inducted to the hall of fame this year, which thankfully he was, do you think he would have to ever been inducted? And do you think there was/would have been a better person to induct him than Linda McMahon? If so who?

The original plan was for CM Punk to induct Warrior. No matter what, he would have been inducted at some point.

On a separate more when/if Randy Savage's family allows him to be inducted since Lenny would give the acceptance speech who do you think should induct him?

That is an interesting question. I'd really like to see Lanny Poffo induct him and have Savage's wife accept.
