As reported earlier, The Ultimate Warrior, born James Hellwig, passed away today at the age of 54. When I first heard the news, I hoped that WWE was referencing the character "The Ultimate Warrior". Sadly, that is not the case.
Warrior passed away earlier this evening outside of a hotel in Arizona. He was walking to his car with his wife when he collapsed. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
He was coming home from what had been a historic and amazing weekend where he was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame and did a great a promo on last night's Raw. Words can't describe how shocked I am right now. I want to take a moment to send along my deepest condolences to his friends and family.
