HULK HOGAN ON ARSENIO HALL NOTES

By Mike Johnson on 2014-03-29 12:45:16
Hulk Hogan appeared last night on the Arsensio Hall show with Hall introducing Hogan and saying that Vince McMahon made the right decision to bring Hogan back and "shine a light" on Wrestlemania. Hogan pointed out his daughter in the crowd.

Arsenio asked Hogan about wrestling again and he said, "Never say never" and that anything can happen in WWE. Hogan teased the idea of wrestling Steve Austin, saying they've never wrestled and that's the one match everyone wants to see. He also mentioned the idea of teaming with John Cena and Hall said that he wanted to see Hogan wrestle Vince McMahon.

Hall talked about Mr. T being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Hogan talked about the first Wrestlemania and said that T wasn't liked by a lot of the wrestlers but was so important to Wrestlemania. Hogan claimed that without T, wrestling wouldn't have the audience it has today and would still be in front of beer drinking, cigar smoking fans.

They showed clips of Hogan tossing Miz out of the ring on Raw. Hogan noted that the one thing he wouldn't do is allow reality show cameras back into his home again. He said that having the cameras there was like putting gasoline on a fire for his family since things were so dysfunctional. He said his ex-wife wanted to do the show when he got the offer to do one and it took it's toll on the family. Hogan said that after you do a reality show, you then have to re-prove yourself to the audience.

Hogan's relationship with Vince McMahon was brought up. He said Vince is a straight up great person and they had two relationships - personal and business. He said at times they had a back and forth issue and it was Hogan's fault.

Hogan told the story he often tells about almost getting the George Foreman grill but not calling back in time so it went to Foreman. He also claimed that Sherri Martel once knocked him out in MSG.

Hogan came off well. No mention of the 1991 interview that brought a ton of resentment down on Hogan and WWF at the time.
