TNA NEWS AND NOTES

By Mike Johnson on 2014-03-21 13:29:23
The Bully Ray storyline on the TNA website yesterday was all a strategy to drive traffic to the website over the course of the day. There was no "meeting" since Dixie Carter is actually on vacation this week.

In regard to TNA running NYC, if they lock in dates with the venue, the plan right now is to tape in the upstairs Grand Ballroom of the Manhattan Center, NOT the Hammerstein Ballroom. I was told by one person the plan would be to do multiple nights tapings over several days and perhaps a One Night Only PPV as well, but nothing has been set in stone. As I reported yesterday, a really good source I've had at the venue for years has told me that TNA has not locked in any dates yet.

Lei'd Tapa leaving the promotion was the company's decision. In a correction from last night, I referred to her as The Barbarian's daughter. She is actually his niece. I apologize for that error, which has been corrected in the original post.

TNA has live events next week in Lincoln, Nebraska, Sioux City, Iowa and Spencer, Iowa with the following lineup:

*TNA champ Magnus vs. Samoa Joe

*TNA Tag Team champs The Bromans vs. The Wolves

*TNA Knockouts champion Madison Rayne vs. Gail Kim

*James Storm vs. Gunner

*Mr. Anderson vs. Samuel Shaw

If anyone is attending any of the events, we are seeking live reports.
