BLOOMBERG LOOKS AT POTENTIAL WWE SUITORS, SHAREHOLDER'S MEETING SET, SMACKDOWN, ANDRE MEMORIAL AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2014-03-17 10:23:33
Bloomberg.com bit on the rumors that WWE could be up for sale (which everyone we've spoken to in the company has strongly denied), looking at who could be the potential suitors for the company and what strengths they each have. It was an interesting read, but probably not going to mean anything in the long run. But, hey, Disney bought Lucasfilm out of nowhere, too. You can read the article at this link.

WWE will tape Smackdown tomorrow in Houston, Texas.

WWE's annual Shareholders Meeting will be 4/25 in Stamford, CT at their HQ. The invitation for the meeting noted that the event would be a "business meeting, not an entertainment event." WWE traditionally has released the video of the event online but last year, to the best of my knowledge, did not, so if anyone plans to attend, please let us know.

Total Divas returned on E! last night. The big stories were John Cena flying to San Diego to meet with Nikki Bella after their issues at the end of the first season (which of course leads to a big cliffhanger as she arrives wondering if he's going to propose) and Eva Marie's family learning she ran to Vegas to get married. The legitimate Naomi injury will be featured on the show this season as well.

The updated names announced for the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal are Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston, Fandango, Cesaro, Alberto Del Rio, Curtis Axel, Damien Sandow, Ryback and WWE Intercontinental champion Big E.
