ARE PEOPLE TOO HARD ON VINCE RUSSO, THE NXT-WWE ROSTER CONNECTION, WHY SOME WWE GUYS STILL HAVE A CONTRACT AND MORE

Raw is on St. Patrick's Day, does that mean we will get a ridiculous Hornswoggle skit?

If I had to bet and be right, I would go with yes on that one.

Obviously, a lot of wrestlers signed to WWE aren't going anywhere with their careers (Curt Hawkins, JTG, Yoshi Tatsu, Justin Gabriel, et al), to the point that they're not even used at house shows or programs like Superstars or Main Event. What's the point of paying them a salary if they're never used? Do they even have to tour with WWE when they're not being used in a wrestling capacity? Seems like a lot of dead weight and wasted money on WWE's part.

In some cases, like Gabriel's, it for when they tour his country. Tatsu works down at NXT. The other guys, well in some cases (like with Alejandro Estrada) the company loses track of having them under contract.

With the increased exposure that NXT is now getting, will the powers that be make room on the main roster to showcase the talent on Raw and Smackdown?

They have said that they will do the opposite. Since NXT now has more exposure, they plan to let the talents develop down in Florida longer. Rushing talent up to the main roster is a big mistake. Having them gain a following in NXT that they can build off of when they debut for WWE is a good idea.

Since WWE is putting all of their PPV events on the network and NXT is there as well, do you envision a scenario where they would occasionally put an NXT match on to a WWE event to draw more people to NXT on Thursday nights or would WWE be scared of the crowd reaction since the live crowd may not be familiar with the NXT talent?

As mentioned above, WWE wants to develop the young talents as much as they can before debuting them. In a perfect world, it could almost be like the old days where a guy "comes from another territory". They want to do everything that they can to not waste debuts. Rusev, for example, is huge so they debuted him in The Rumble. That made sense. They want to do things that make sense going forward.

Fenway asks: What's up with all the heat on Vince Russo, in wwe him and McMahon put out a great product. I know McMahon was the main man but I think Russo deserves credit also, in wcw he went to a sinking ship that had to much trouble already there (even though some stuff he did was not good). In TNA the product that he was producing is way better then what they have now. Shouldn't Russo stop taking so much heat, cuz he was a creative forced during one of the best times in pro wrestling?

Not at all. By that comparison, if David Ortiz had two good seasons and 10 putrid ones, he would have been long gone from your Red Sox. Russo had a couple of good years in WWE, with many of the concepts he brought in he learned from watching ECW TV. Vince McMahon also edited his crazier ideas. Once he was on his own, the world saw how clueless he was as a booker. He was terrible in WCW (though I do agree that Eric Bischoff's ridiculous overspending doomed the company more that Russo) and worse in TNA. Nope, the things said about Russo are well-deserved.
