RING OF HONOR TELEVISION REPORT: HERO VERSUS COLE; CIAMPA VERSUS HANSON; YOUNG VERSUS TAVEN; CONTROVERSY OVER WORLD TITLE MATCH?

We are in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for more Road Rage action from the 12th Anniversary Show. Your announcers are Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino.

Match Number One: Silas Young versus Matt Taven

They lock up and Young with a shoulder and punch in the corner. Taven with punches but Young with a side head lock take down. Young holds on to the hair and the side head lock when Taven tries for an Irish whip. Young with a front face lock and he tries for a suplex but Taven escapes and he goes for an O’Connor Roll but Young holds on to the ropes.

Taven with an arm drag and drop kick but he runs into a boot. Taven with a rana but Young rolls through for a sunset flip. Taven rolls through and kicks Young and then hits a standing moonsault for a near fall. Young goes to the floor and then he hits Taven from behind when he gets distracted by Truth Martini at the entrance.

Young with an Irish whip and then he puts Taven in the ropes. Taven with a punch and he goes up top and hits a cross body for a near fall. Taven with an Irish whip. Young sends Taven to the apron and Taven with a shoulder and he tries for a sunset flip but Young holds the ropes and grabs the referee before kicking Taven.

Young with a reverse chin lock and knee to the back. We go to commercial.

We are back and Young with a reverse chin lock on Taven. Taven punches Young and Young pulls Taven to the mat by the hair. Taven with a punch but Young with a knee and forearm. Young with an Irish whip but Taven tries to float over but Young crotches Taven and then Young with a springboard clothesline that sends Taven to the floor.

Young pulls Taven back in and gets a near fall. Young with a forearm and then he slaps Taven. Taven avoids a charge into the corner by Young and Taven with an enzuigiri and both men are down. Taven with a leg lariat followed by a back heel kick and kick to the chest followed by another spin kick. Taven lands on his feet on a quebrada attempt. Taven with a kick followed by a quebrada for a near fall.

Young with a jawbreaker followed by a uranage back breaker. Taen avoids the clothesline and he tries for Angel’s Wings but Young counters and hits a clothesline for a near fall. Young with a Finlay Slam and then he goes fro the headstand into the Arabian Press but Taven moves. Taven with a leaping spin kick followed by a frog splash for the three count.

Winner: Matt Taven

After the match, they shake hands but Young with a short arm clothesline and he punches Taven. Truth Martini goes into the ring and cheers on Silas’ attack on Taven. Young looks at Truth and Young walks past Martini and goes to the back.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a look back at Hanson’s victory in the finals of the Top Prospect Tournament over Raymond Rowe.

Match Number Two Tommaso Ciampa versus Hanson for the Ring of Honor Television Title

The bell rings and they collide in the ring and exchange forearms. Hanson with punches but he runs into a kick from Ciampa. Ciampa with kicks to Hanson and he backs him into the corner. Ciampa pulls down the knee pad but Hanson gets up and misses a spin kick. Ciampa with a belly-to-back suplex that sends Hanson over the top rope to the floor. Ciampa with a plancha but he does not fully hit the target.

Ciampa sends Hanson into the corner of the guardrails and Ciampa with a running knee. Ciampa puts him in another corner of the guardrails. Ciampa with another running knee to the head. Ciampa rolls Hanson back into the ring but Hanson with a power slam for a near fall. Hanson with crossfaces to the upper chest. Ciampa misses a clothesline and then he catches Hanson and hits the Air Raid Crash for a near fall.

Ciampa punches Hanson but Hanson punches back. They exchange forearms as they use the ropes for extra momentum. Ciampa with kicks while Hanson stays with the forearms. Ciampa with a drop kick but Hanson with a cartwheel followed by a lariat for a near fall. Hanson tries for snake eyes but Ciampa escapes and connects with a kick to the temple for a near fall.

Ciampa sets for Project Ciampa but Hanson sends Ciampa into the turnbuckles and connects with elbows. Hanson with a seated splash into the corner followed by a moonsault for a near fall. Ciampa with the Sicilian Stretch on Hanson but Hanson rolls through and picks up Ciampa. Ciampa lands on his feet and Hanson hits a spin kick but Ciampa rolls to the apron.

Ciampa holds on to the ropes to prevent being pulled in for the cover. Hanson with kicks to Ciampa. Hanson with forearms across the chest but Ciampa with a knee to Hanson. Hanson punches Ciampa on the turnbuckles and Hanson climbs the turnbuckles as well. Hanson gets Ciampa on his shoulders but Ciampa escapes and hits Project Ciampa for the three count.

Winner: Tommaso Ciampa

We are back with a look at how Chris Hero earned his title match at the 12th Anniversary Show.

Match Number Two: Adam Cole versus Chris Hero for the Ring of Honor WORLD Championship

Hero with a cravate and Cole gets to the ropes and Hero releases the hold. Hero grabs the leg and sweeps the leg to take him to the mat and he gets a near fall with a rollup. Cole rolls to the floor to rethink his strategy and stop Hero’s momentum. Cole returns to the ring and he wants a test of strength but he tries to kick Hero but Hero blocks the kick and takes Cole to the mat. Hero with a chop.

They lock up and Cole with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Hero with a leap frog and Cole tries for one but Hero with a kick to the chest for a near fall. Hero with a chop to Cole followed by a slam and back senton for a near fall. Hero with an elbow drop and he gets a near fall. Hero with a cravate but Cole backs Hero into the corner and Cole with kicks.

Hero with a chop but he misses a kick when Cole goes to the apron and calls a time out before going to the floor. Cole takes his time getting back into the ring and when he does, he rolls back to the floor. Hero talks with some of the fans while he waits for Cole to get back into the ring.

Hero goes to the floor and Cole stays on the floor on the opposite side of the ring. Cole runs away from Hero but instead he runs into a kick from Hero. Hero with a kick against the guardrails and they return to the ring. Cole goes back to the apron and Hero kicks Cole and knocks him off the apron.

Hero teases a dive to the floor but he lands on the apron. Cole with a leg sweep and enzuigiri to Hero. Cole returns to the ring now that he has the advantage and he gets a near fall. Cole with a kick to Hero. Cole with a forearm and elbow to the back of the neck. Cole chokes Hero in the ropes and the referee warns the champion. Hero with a chops but he falls to the mat. Cole with a kick.

Cole runs the ropes and he settles in with a reverse chin lock instead of a more spectacular move. Cole pulls Hero back to the mat when Hero tries to get back to his feet. Cole with a kick and he tries for a suplex but Hero blocks it. Hero with a La Magistral for a near fall. Cole with a Shining Wizard for a near fall.

Cole with forearms to the head. Hero struggles to stay on his feet and Cole with more forearms. Hero gets a second wind and they go face to face. Cole with forearms while Hero with chops. Hero with a kick to the head and chops but Cole with a kick to stop a roaring elbow. Hero with a suplex throw and both men are down.

Hero pulls himself up and he kicks Cole in the head. Hero with a flying clothesline followed by a snap swinging neck breaker followed by a kip up. Hero with a forearm into the corner. Cole tries for a kick but Hero blocks it and Hero with a boot that sends Cole to the floor. Hero with a baseball slide to Cole. Hero rolls Cole into the ring and Hero with a slingshot boot to the head followed by a forearm for a near fall.

Hero gets Cole on his shoulders but Cole gets to his feet. Hero holds on to the ropes on an O’Connor Roll attempt by Cole. Hero with a flying kick to the head. Hero with a cravate suplex for a near fall. Hero with a punch to the head followed by a kick in the corner. Hero puts Cole on the turnbuckles and he sets for a cravate superplex but Cole sends Hero to the mat. Hero with a kick to the head and Cole sends Hero to the apron.

Cole with a bicycle kick to Hero on the apron and then he hits a rope assisted piledriver on Hero for a near fall due to the cover. Cole says something to Hero before picking him up. Hero pushes Cole away and Cole pie faces Hero a few times. Hero with a punch to Cole for a near fall. Hero gets Cole on his shoulders and then hits a roaring elbow to the back of the head when Cole gets back to the mat. Cole falls to the floor and Hero follows after him.

Hero picks up Cole and puts him against the guardrails before picking Cole up and placing him on the apron but Cole rolls to the floor. Hero with a Yakuza kick to Cole against the guardrails but Cole with a German suplex on the floor. They return to the ring and Cole with a neck breaker from a suplex set up and Cole gets a near fall.

Cole gets back to his feet while Hero struggles to do the same. Cole sets for the Florida Key but when the referee gets too close Hero accidentally elbows the referee and the referee goes down. Cole has a kick blocked and Hero with a version of Cross Rhodes followed by the Stretch Plum.

It appears that Cole is tapping out but with no referee, it does not count. Hero releases the hold while the referee is being checked out. Hero goes for the roaring elbow but Cole with an enzuigiri. Hero with a boot to the head and Cole with one of his own. Cole with a super kick followed by a Florida Key but Hero kicks out at two. Cole rolls through and hits a second one but he rolls through again and hits a third one for the three count.

Winner: Adam Cole
