ANGLE OUT OF LOCKDOWN

Kurt Angle officially announced today that he would be not be working Sunday's TNA Lockdown PPV. The storyline explanation is that the attack from EC3 caused Angle to need surgery, so the idea is to do that match as a program when he returns.

The reality is that Angle already had the surgery scheduled following TNA's European tour. The surgery had been set for before the tour but pushed back so Angle could gut through the tour.

Angle had not been locally advertised for Lockdown beyond TNA storylines and as we reported some time back, he wasn't expected to work the show. In checking on his condition yesterday, I was told he hadn't yet been cleared to return to the ring.

EC3 noted on Twitter that he would still be in action on Sunday and wrote he would be holding a "press conference" to discuss Angle's injury during Saturday's Fan Interaction in Miami.
