While they announced every episode of ECW would be available at launch for VOD, there are currently two from 1993 and one from 1994.
I have heard from a number of friends using XBox that WCW and ECW PPVs were not available to stream on the Network via that service currently.
I have had numerous issues with my Roku with streams just stopping and a note coming up, telling me the stream is unavailable. However, if I wait a minute and play again, the show goes right back to where it was playing. The Roku also seemed to take a bit to load the content on the menus. The live stream looked great in HD.
There are tons of music edits in the WCW, World Class and ECW material. If anyone didn't expect those, they really haven't been paying attention.
Leon Peters sent the following:
Just a few notes about the Network. I was able to sign up with no problem at around 8:05 am ET, nearly an hour before the official launch. I also read that some people were able to sign up a lot earlier than that.
The Vault was already accessible at that time, but the live channel showed only the colored bars test pattern on the screen.
At exactly 9:00am ET the test pattern changed to an all black screen and then the WWE Network logo popped up and a quick 1 minute video of Vince McMahon talking to the WWE Universe and welcoming us to the Network was shown. That video of Vince is also up on WWE.com to view.
I've had no problem streaming the live channel on PS3. No buffering issues and the picture quality looks like I'm watching a regular cable TV channel.
As far as the Vault is concerned there have been some issues that I noticed. First off the stream is not consistently good. There is constant buffering and then sometimes the picture just drops out completely. Again this is on PS3 so I'm not sure if it's like this on every device. Plus I have a very strong router and internet service. Another thing I noticed about the vault is Great American Bash 1991 (Lex Luger vs. Barry Windham) is not included for some reason. I'm not sure if there are any other PPV's missing, but that's the only one I noticed so far.
Over The Edge 1999 opens up with a graphic of Owen Hart that says "In memory Of Owen Hart(1965-1999) who accidentally passed away during this broadcast". The edits are very neatly cut and if you didn't know any better you'd have no idea that anything was missing from the show. Another thing I checked out was Armageddon 1999 and the infamous Miss Kitty segment. She is indeed blurred out when she removes her bikini top. I find that interesting since the original WWF Home Video commercial release of that PPV on VHS did not censor that at all.
Another thing I noticed, and this one is just bizarre, is that all the dates of every show in the vault are wrong. They are listed as 1 day earlier than they originally aired. For example WrestleMania VI is listed as taking place on March 31, 1990 when it actually was held on April 1, 1990. And it's like that with every PPV and TV shows across the board in the vault. Not sure what that's all about. And that's all the noteworthy things I noticed so far about the Network on day 1.
