Unless he cancels the appearance, Punk is slated to appear on @Midnight on Comedy Central on 2/12. The Miz was also slated for that episode but was removed when the series updated its guest list several days ago. Punk has a relationship with host Chris Hardwick, having appeared on his Nerdist Podcast and on AMC's "Talking Dead", which Hardwick hosts.
WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley posted a video on Youtube, noting that he hopes to talk Punk into returning. Foley said he'd like to see the once planned Punk-Triple H match at Wrestlemania 30 and that while he likes Punk, Punk's "honesty" can rub people in WWE the wrong way. You can watch Foley's video below:
Jim Ross mentioned the Punk situation in his latest blog at JrsBarBQ.com, writing, "I fully understand that Punk is burned out and frustrated but I personally and perhaps selfishly wish that he would perform and steal the show at WM30 before taking his leave and recharging his batteries. That's just the fan in me talking."
