The film, starring Roddy Piper, Shane Douglas, Kurt Angle, Matt Hardy, Hacksaw Duggan and more, tells the tale of a group of professional wrestlers who are booked at a private show in an abandoned prison, only to learn they have been trapped inside with a zombie army risen from the dead in an attempt at revenge against one of them.
The film, which closed the First Annual Rocks Off Pro Wrestling Film Festival last year in NYC has received several good reviews, including, Yahoo.com and genre website Giant Freakin' Robot. The film is also doing very well in IMDB voting for Best Zombie film of 2014, as you can see and vote here.
The producers of the film are now undertaking a campaign to convince AMC Theaters to run the film Wrestlemania 30 week. They are asking fans to Tweet AMC Theaters at https://twitter.com/AMCTheatres using #ProWrestlersvsZombies to request that the national theater chain showcase the film.
