TNA'S TALENT MEETING YESTERDAY, THE WOLVES' DEBUT, NEXT WEEK'S TV, LOCKDOWN AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2014-01-17 10:53:31

So, uh, how about that debut for the former American Wolves? For the record, they don't wrestle on next week's TNA Impact, either. I was told this was a specific decision made so they can be included in the Investor storyline. As of now, the team will be called The Wolves and they will still be Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards. Dave Lagana had really pushed to sign the duo.

There were a few people backstage wondering if the Investor storyline was written as a way to mock Jeff Jarrett for exiting the company. Unless someone bought him out quietly, Jarrett is still a minority owner in the company.

Scheduled for next week's Genesis-themed episode:

*TNA champion Magnus vs. Sting: Title vs. Sting's TNA contract
*Kurt Angle vs. Bobby Roode in a Steel Cage Match.
*TNA X-Division champ Chris Sabin vs. Austin Aries with Velvet Sky locked in a cage at ringside.
*Samoa Joe vs. Rockstar Spud.
*Gunner vs. James Storm for the Feast or Fired Briefcase TNA title shot

TNA is now selling Travel packages to the Lockdown PPV at ShopTNA.com. Based on the way things are going, my guess is The Lockdown PPV main event might be Magnus vs. Samoa Joe.

A big part of TNA's talent meeting yesterday was involving SpikeTV's Twitter team working with the talents on ways to better use social media going forward. It was described to me as a "housekeeping" meeting more then anything that featured any groundbreaking insight or news.

Real estate blog Movato interviewed Kurt Angle on the ten best cities to wrestle in. You can check it out by clicking here.

TNA will air an Unfinished Business "Bound for Glory" PPV next month.
