NXT ON HULU FUTURE, KAITLYN'S FUTURE, BRYAN & BRAY, JR AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2014-01-09 10:00:00
Since NXT was prominently featured during the WWE Network's launch event, does that mean NXT will eventually be removed from Hulu?

That wasn't specifically stated, but my gut is that yes, WWE will remove it from Hulu.

Just finished the Press Conference. Vince is gonna hit a home run here. But it begs the question, yet again... What did JR do to Vince? His missing from the network is the 800 pound gorilla in the room and there's no way this is about Flair being drunk and going into business for himself. Are there any whispers/rumors that you can't print do to lack of corroboration or for the first time in history has wrestling learned how to keep a secret?

Unfortunately, WWE wanted Ross out and decided it was time for him to retire. As we've noted, it was fallout for the Flair incident last August.

I read where Kaitlyn requested and was granted release from WWE. That's a shame. I hate to see her go. She was a very tough competitor in the ring. I know her last match was on Main Event facing WWE Divas champion AJ Lee where she subsequently lost. Its too bad she didn't win the match. Kaitlyn would have left as a winner if she had won. I would have liked that. Good luck to her whatever road she takes. Opinion?

It's better for her to lose on the way out as a way to keep the area stronger after she's gone. Plus, what's she going to do - beat the champion and then disappear?

Does the 90 day no compete clause still apply even though Kaitlyn asked for and was granted release from WWE? I know that Kaitlyn is not her real name. Does WWE own the rights to it? Do you see her signing on with TNA?

if she requested a release, the 90 days would stand firm with the company paying her. However, WWE stated she was no longer under contract, so it may be that she gave notice and finished out with them and isn't being held to the no compete. I don't see her going to TNA and WWE would own the rights to the Kaitlyn name.

I realize it's too soon to judge this storyline completely, but heading into what should be the biggest WM ever, based on the audience's universal love of Daniel Bryan, the quality of product he consistently delivered and the time his great ring work filled on those tedious 3 hour RAWs, doesn't placing him in this angle with the Wyatts have the potential to be as damaging to WWE as when Austin turned heel at WM 17?

It sure could. WWE may have a plan but I can't even begin to wager what it is and how it's supposed to help Bryan or Wyatt right now. Time will tell.
