ROCK KICKING OFF FILMING OF NEW HBO SERIES THIS WEEK

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson noted on Twitter that he would begin filming his new HBO series "Ballin'" this week in Miami, Florida.

The series will follow a group of retired athletes living in Miami. Film Director Peter Berg is scheduled to helm the pilot episode.

Berg, Mark Wahlburg, Johnson's business manager (and ex-wife) Dani Garcia and Stephen Levinson (Boardwalk Empire) are producing the series.

There has not yet been an official announcement of the series' planned debut.
