WRESTLING CONNECTION TO LATE JAMES AVERY, BIG WWE ANNOUNCEMENT IN SEVEN DAYS, WRESTLERS IN MOVIES & MORE NEWS

One of the bigger entertainment news stories of the day, sadly, is the passing of long-time veteran actors James Avery at the age of 65 due to complications following heart surgery. Best known for his role as Uncle Phil in "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" on NBC, he was also an accomplished voice actor and performed the Junkyard Dog's voice on "Hulk Hogan's Rock N' Wrestling" when that series aired on NBC on Saturday mornings in the mid 1980s. Avery was an incredibly prolific actor. Obviously, we send our deepest condolences.

WWE stock has more than doubled in the last calendar year.

WWE will make their big announcement, which all signs point to being the official launch of the WWE Network, in one week, as they have a big presentation set on 1/8 with John Cena, Steve Austin, Vince McMahon and more as part of the 2014 International CES at the Wynn Hotel.

JBL and Michael Cole noted on Twitter they are doing a weight loss challenge over the course of the next 250 days. You just know DDP will be all over this once he hears about it.

The Royal Rumble is slated for both a Blu-Ray and DVD release in February.

"Army of the Damned", the horror film which features Tommy Dreamer, Maria Kanellis and former TNA star Rosita, will be officially released on DVD on 1/14.
