DDP'S WCW BENEFACTOR, SAPOLSKY VS. RICHARDS, BRYAN AS SUPERSTAR OF THE YEAR AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2013-12-27 10:00:00
I was watching the TNA One Night Only Tag Team Tournament show, and as they played a highlights package for Generation Me, the accompanying music was the old Hardy Boys entrance track. Is this music public domain? If not, how did they ever get permission from WWE to use the music? Do you know if it was put there as a rib on their similarity to the Hardys, or if it was put together by somebody who simply didn't know of the track's history in pro wrestling?

The music isn't an official WWE track. It's music that was written to be licensed out. In this case, TNA licensed it for that PPV.

I remember back in late 1995 to 1996 WCW was running an angle where DDP lost a match to the Booty Man and he lost Kimberly and her lottery winnings. DDP disappeared for a bit and came back with the help of a "benefactor". Who was the "benefactor"?

They never really explained it but the idea was that Kimberly was the benefactor.

So was reading the EVOLVE and Davey Richards story and it begs the question for those of us who don't know....What issues has Gabe Sapolsky had with Davey Richards in the past? And does that put his new issues with ROH in a different light?

Sapolsky intended to build EVOLVE around Davey Richards and make him a partner in the company. Richards was under contract to ROH at the time but was also still doing EVOLVE. He used the friction between Sapolsky and ROH as leverage to get a better paying ROH deal and blew EVOLVE off as part of that deal. Sapolsky was furious at the time.

I came across some photos online that show Dolph Ziggler which seem to be in his developmental days. In 95% of these photos Dolph is pictured with Nikki Bella, it appears that they were very close friends during this time. Fast forward to 2013 and now John Cena is in a relationship with Nikki Bella and Dolph Ziggler's push has been derailed. Could Ziggler really be in the doghouse because he may have been close friends with Nikki in the past and that rubs Cena the wrong way? It may all be a coincidence but it seems Ziggler's push was derailed around the same time the Bella's returned to the WWE.

I think you are looking way too deeply into something that isn't there.

After Daniel Bryan winning superstar of the year as well as the deafening chants for him on Raw, has there been any word on Vince's reaction? Being that it was his call to kill the Bryan push, he ought to be eating his words.

Vince doesn't see things that way. He sees it as killing Bryan's push made fans love him more, because he's an underdog.
