We know Buddy Rogers was the first WWWF champion, but who was his first challenger?

The general consensus is that Buddy Rogers' first title defense was against Bobo Brazil in 1963.

I was curious what the details are behind setting up interviews. I know Mike does a ton of them, so I was curious whether the promotions come to you, if you go to them, if you go to the wrestlers personally and how it works when you interview someone from WWE for PWInsiderTV?

It all depends on the situation. I am always reaching out to personalities from all over the wrestling spectrum and there is a great Producer in Texas, Ben Bodhi, who helps out a ton behind the scenes when it comes to setting things up and he's been an awesome help to the site. There will also be promoters that will reach out to us as well. In the case of WWE and PWInsiderTV, it's cleared through their office - such as when they invited us to come cover the event, as they did with the opening of the Performance Center - the same way any media would be cleared through any entity producing or hosting an event.

I've noticed a lot more West Coast coverage of late and I'm liking it. Was there something that sparked it?

A few things. We've had some really great West Coast contributors in the past like Steven Ronquillo and Mark Carpowich. Mike Epsenhart now resides in California, so he occasionally will cover Wrestling Cares and when I can, I travel to events. Between Cares, PWG and Championship Wrestling from Hollywood, I think there is a really nice trifecta of different promotions and styles in the LA area, which has a lot to do with it as well.

I see you point to a link to watch NXT shows on Hulu it always says I must have an account. How can I see those matches for free? I know you have mentioned on audios but I can't seem to find out how.

They may require you to log in via mobile devices, so I would try to watch on a desktop or laptop. That works without fail for me. Enjoy!

Are NXT's Ascension using Total Elimination as their finishing move? I think they used it on the American Pitwolves.

It's not exactly the same move, but yes, they are using a variation of the maneuver.
