TRIPLE H COMMENTS ON END OF RAW, NEW TRAINING CAMP AT PERFORMANCE CENTER, WWE COMIC AND MORE

As Dave referenced earlier, Triple H did his weekly interview with Michael Cole to further the WWE storylines. He was asked about CM Punk striking him and said that the end of Raw got out of control and "a lot of people did a lot of stupid things" before deflecting the question.

Bill DeMott wrote on Twitter that WWE kicked off a new training camp at the Performance Center today. The camp will run through the weekend. The only names we've heard so far are Dragon Gate star Ricochet and Pepper Parks, a CZW regular who was initially trained by our own Les Thatcher.

The early reviews of the first issue of the new WWE Comic Book by Mick Foley in the comic website circles has been by and large, positive. Foley will be signing the book Saturday in NYC at Midtown Comics on Fulton Street.

Network On Track to Lead P25-54 For The Year

NEW YORK - December 12, 2013 – USA Network will finish the year as the #1 ad-supported cable network for an unprecedented 8th consecutive year.

Fueled by a strong stable of original series, the powerhouse WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW, and top-rated acquired series, USA continues its winning streak in total viewers P2+ (2.70MM), 10% higher than the closest cable network competitor, and is on track to lead P25-54 (1.08MM).

“We’re proud to achieve yet another record year in an incredibly competitive environment,” said Chris McCumber, president of USA Network. “2013 was not only successful in terms of viewership, but also marks the most profitable year in the history of the network. With a full pipeline of an unprecedented 8 pilots in production from some of the top creative auspices in the business, 2014 looks to be another strong year.”

Once again, USA dominated the summer as the home to four of the top ten scripted series in basic cable prime with GRACELAND, Suits, Royal Pains and BURN NOTICE.

Freshman drama GRACELAND, renewed for a second season, was one of the summer’s top new dramas on cable attracting 4.01 million total viewers, 1.85 million P25-54, 1.80 million P18-49, and 971,000 P18-34. GRACELAND registered particularly high double-digit L7 lifts of +94% P18-49, +94% P25-54, +99% P18-34, and +78% in P2+.

The third season of Suits delivered 5.28 million total viewers, 2.31 million P25-54, 2.38 million P18-49, and 1.31 million P18-34. Recently picked-up for a fourth season, Suits ranks in 3Q13 as a top 5 cable drama and was the #1 scripted series on television, broadcast or cable, Tuesday nights among P18-49. Season three of Suits continues Thursday, March 9 at 9/8c leading into the launch of new original half-hour comedy SIRENS from creators Denis Leary and Bob Fisher.

In its fifth season, Royal Pains brought in 5.30 million total viewers, 2.01 million P25-54, 1.71 million P18-49, and 672,000 P18-34.

The final season of BURN NOTICE drew 5.68 million total viewers, 2.35 million P25-54, 2.16 million P18-49, and 942,000 P18-34. And, the series finale was USA’s second most-watched series finale ever with 6.81 million viewers, behind only MONK, among P18-49, P25-54, P18-34, and total viewers.

WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW – the most-watched, regularly scheduled program on cable, 52 weeks a year – made USA #1 Monday nights in 2013, delivering more total viewers (4.61 million), P25-54 (2.10 million), P18-49 (2.12 million), and P18-34 (1.11 million) than any cable entertainment network on Monday in primetime. Among M18-34, RAW was the #1 show on cable Monday nights in 2013, making USA the #1 entertainment network in all of television in this demo.

USA has three of the top acquired series in cable with Modern Family, NCIS and LAW & ORDER: SVU. Modern Family continues to grow, increasing 73% in P18-49 since its first full week on USA, with the most recent week averaging 855,000 in P18-49 – its best week to-date. The series has delivered a new audience of incredibly young viewers, who are on average 10 years younger than the average USA viewer a year ago. LAW & ORDER: SVU scored gains in every demo versus last year.
