WHY VINCE MCMAHON CAN'T SEE WHAT THE REST OF THE WORLD CAN, WHAT IF BRET HART PLAYED BALL WITH VINCE, WHY THE ANNOUNCERS ON RAW ARE OFTEN BRUTAL AND MORE

Last night was the first RAW I’ve watched in quite some time. I’ve chosen to rather read your reports to stay updated with the business. My question being: Is the announce team usually that bad? JBL, Cole and Jerry Lawler spent a good majority of the broadcast giggling, laughing at their own jokes, or not even commenting on anything that was going on in the ring. They could’ve sold a lot of the “Hampton's Hardcore Match” as brutal, but instead they just laughed at everything that occurred in the ring. Is this the trash that’s being fed to them over the headset, or has it really come to this on RAW?

It all depends on the week. Sometimes, they do a solid job, when Michael Cole can keep JBL reigned in. Other times, it is the dreck you heard last night. Most of the time, they are just doing what Vince McMahon wants them to do. He loves the character JBL plays, so we get to hear what Vince likes.

TLC in 3 weeks. Champion vs. Champion for both Titles. Cena vs. Orton. Huge spot takes out both men. Out runs Daniel Bryan who scurries up a ladder, grabs both titles. How likely is this to happen? This is the first thing that popped into my mind when they announced the match.

Magic 8 Ball says, "All signs point to no".

Let's say Montreal didn't happen and Bret went along and drop the belt go to WCW where Eric Bischoff used him correctly for an eventual showdown with Hogan at Starrcade 98, driving the ratings up further during the year. Would we have seen the Mr. McMahon character or the Attitude Era

We would have definitely seen the Attitude Era. WWE was losing badly to WCW and Vince was forced to go outside of his comfort zone. That is the reason we got the era. Whether Vince would have come onto TV, I am not sure. My gut feeling is that he would have because he knew that he needed all of the characters that he could get in his war with WCW.

Scenario - the Real Americans are the bad guy tag team vs whoever (it does not matter) at WM30. The match is over and the lights go out. Bray Wyatt's face appears..."We're Here"...the lights go on...the Wyatt Family appears in the ring giving the Real Americans (Cesaro, Swagger) a beat down. The music hits..."I am a Real American..." The crowd pops...the Wyatts turn and stare down Hulk as he stands in the aisle tearing his shirt off. Swagger and Cesaro recover and throw Rowan and Harper out of the ring. Bray tries to get out of the ring but Hogan tosses him back in. Cesaro puts Bray into the big swing....the crowd pops again. Hogan gets in the ring and Hogan's "I am a Real American" starts playing. Swagger and Cesaro stand on each side of Hogan and do the obligatory Hogan poses...the Real Americans turn baby-face...keeping the tag line "We the People"...

So Hogan comes out to save two guys that are anti real America? That doesn't make much sense to me. And honestly I don't want to see the Wyatts fed to a senior citizen that can hardly move, even if that old fella is Hulk Hogan.

When wrestlers, or I assume creative, have made popular culture references as models to Vince, he has stated he is unfamiliar with them. Coming to mind is Scott Hall’s Scarface/Razor and Hawk’s Crusty/Doink character recommendations. I know he is a workaholic, but how can someone running a multi-platform media company be so oblivious to characterizations out there? Do you think this could be a root issue for the company’s directional, creative and characterization shortcomings? It appears that The Chairman is creating and/or approving these things in a vacuum and is wholly unaware of popular culture as a whole – it’s trends and characters…..

I definitely think that Vince has his own vision of what entertainment is and he doesn't let himself be influenced by what others think it is. And yes, it's the absolute root of WWE's problems. No doubt.
