TNA BOUND FOR GLORY NEWS AND NOTES

By Mike Johnson on 2013-10-21 08:44:31

TNA Bound for Glory is believed to have drawn in the 3,500-4,000 area, based on fan reports we've received. Most of the crowd was situated across from the hard cameras.

We mentioned this in the PPV report but Pro Wrestling Guerrilla's Peter Avalon portrayed Norm Fernum last night.

Former TNA announcer Todd Kenely was backstage visiting.

Adam Pearce was backstage before the PPV start but did not stay for the show.

There were a lot of fans who noted that TNA made no reference at all to their next live PPV broadcast.

As noted yesterday, Time-Warner had an issue in the Northeast which prevented fans from ordering Bound for Glory.  I actually ordered the show Saturday night (I always order the shows in advance to prevent a last minute problem) but when I went to switch to the PPV at 7:30, it wasn't ordered.  I attempted to order, it went through and then again disappeared and wasn't ordered.  I spent 30 minutes on the phone with a Time-Warner rep who at first had me reboot my box (which is why the Spike coverage went to hell), then told me it was ordered on her side but again, it wasn't coming up on my box.  She then claimed that perhaps it was a problem with my billing, which again, would be news to me since my account was paid in full.  I finally gave up and ran to family member's home to watch the show and thankfully, they have RCN cable, or there would have been no coverage.  Over the course of the night, we received emails from fans in Boston, New Jersey and NYC who reported similar problems.

There was no talk of any imminent return for Hulk Hogan backstage at the show.

Jeff Jarrett was backstage and worked as an agent.

Here is the Kurt Angle TNA Hall of Fame induction video, even though Angle "turned down the invitation."

TNA will be taping Impact Wrestling this Thursday in Salt Lake City, Utah. If anyone is attending, we are seeking live reports from the taping.
