YOUNG BUCKS HEADING TO NEW JAPAN PRO WRESTLING, ALEX SHELLEY UPDATE AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2013-10-15 10:13:01
Nick and Matt Jackson, the Young Bucks, will be making their debuts for New Japan Pro Wrestling as part of the promotion's 10/25-11/9 as part of their Super Junior Tag Tournament. The Bucks have worked for Dragon Gate but this will be their first time touring for the top Japanese promotion. There was talk of bringing the Bucks over as a surprise for this past weekend's iPPV but by the time that was considered, the Bucks' schedule was already set in stone.

Also set for the tournament are the following teams:

*Brian Kendrick & Trent Baretta

*Jushin Liger & Tiger Mask

*Jado & Gedo

*The Forever Hooligans, Rocky Romero & Alex Koslov

*TAKA Michinoku & Taichi

*KUSHIDA & Yohei Komatsu

*Valiente & BUSHI

The opening round will take place on 10/25 with the finals on 11/6. The competitors will all work the other dates of that tour as well, including an 11/9 iPPV titled Power Struggle. New Japan has been putting all of their major events on iPPV via U-Stream of late.

Former TNA star Alex Shelley, a regular with NJPW, is out of action with what has been described as a fairly serious back injury.
