OFFICIAL WWE STATEMENT ON MICHAEL HAYES' STATUS

As we broke yesterday morning in the PWInsider.com Elite section, longtime creative team member Michael Hayes has been off the road for WWE for a few weeks to handle a personal matter.

In lieu of a number of rumors that have bounced around in the last 24 hours, PWInsider.com contacted WWE regarding Hayes' status with the company.

WWE's official response: "Michael is taking a leave of absence for personal reasons."
