As we noted over the weekend, ROH attempted a free iPPV with Go Fight Live over the weekend. The story that GFL came to ROH and offered to stream the show for free for the audience to show that they had improved their technology and could is pretty much what happened. GFL handled all of the production. No one from ROH was involved in the streaming end at all. ROH waited until late in the day to announce it as they didn't want it to be over-hyped in case it didn't work out, which was a smart move.
The 12th Anniversary show date announced was actually incorrect. The promotion will return to Philadelphia on Friday 2/21/14. I do have to say that I think running Philly on Fridays is a big strategic error. Whether it's the culture of the city or fans from surrounding areas not able to travel to shows on Fridays due to traffic and work schedules, Philadelphia has never been a strong "Friday" town.
Tomasso Ciampa and former WWE Tough Enough competitor Jessie Ward were married over the weekend. Our best to the happy couple. A lot of ROH talent were at the wedding.
