FRENCHY BERNARD PASSES AWAY

Frenchy Bernard, who wrestled, refereed, managed and worked behind the scenes for a number of territories over the course of his career before becoming one of the closest confidantes of Andre the Giant, passed away on 9/16, according to an obituary published on YourDailyJournal.com.

Bernard was born in Montreal in June 1936. I don't know much about his in-ring career but he is best known for being close with Andre the Giant, as he handled a lot of Andre's personal affairs and managed his career.

Bernard and his wife Jackie eventually relocated to North Carolina to maintain Andre's ranch and were considered his closest friends. They remained on the property for many years after that.
