WHY TOTAL DIVAS IS A SUCCESS, ORTON-TAKER AT XXX, MAIN EVENTING WRESTLEMANIA AND MORE

Why is it that since Wrestlemania 23 the main event does not always consist of the Royal Rumble winner vs. the champion of his choice? I'd be pissed to win the Rumble and get to "main event" Wrestlemania to be put on early, i.e. Wrestlemania 27 and 28.

WWE reserves the right to put the matches in whatever order they choose. "Main eventing WrestleMania" is more a phrase than a promise.

I just noticed something. The feud between Orton and Taker has ended after Taker defeated Orton inside Hell in a Cell, but their "score" was actually 2-2. Taker beat Orton at WrestleMania as well but Orton beat him at SummerSlam and in a Casket match at No Mercy. I would love to see them facing again at Wrestlemania for one last time.  I think it would be one of the most incredible matches.  What are your thoughts on that?

You need a big name opponent for Taker, especially at Mania XXX.  Orton certainly fits that bill.  It would work for me.

Do you think part of the success for Total Divas can be attributed to the fact that it exposes part of the private lives of two of the top male stars (John Cena and Daniel Bryan)?

Since I have no idea why anyone likes that show I am probably the wrong person to ask.  I find it insipid.  But that is as good a reason as any I can think of for its success.  Clearly, I am not in the target demo that likes the show.

Now we are in a WWE where there is no official brand split (though it ended very quietly). Do you see a future where they will start to retire belts? I understand that the upside of having 6 Belts is to allow a greater opportunity to elevate talent - but with every belt except the WWE title and (Thank God) finally the Tag titles having no meaning what does it accomplish in terms of talent elevation?

I would like to see the US and IC Titles go away.  They don't mean much and with the WWE and World Titles, they really can't mean much.  There had been talk of getting rid of some belts years ago, but it never happened.  I think it's something WWE should revisit.

Do you think Tony Schiavone will ever be inducted into the Hall of Fame? He worked as lead commentator for the WWE in the late 80's and was definitely a key narrator of the Monday Night Wars!

It wouldn't shock me.  He has enough name value to get in.  And at times, he was very good.  At others, well not so much.  But it wasn't easy calling some of the stuff that WCW did at times.
