I believe he lives in Canada but he is one of the great mysteries to me too. No sign of him anywhere.
I was watching some old WWF TV on Youtube and they were pushing a Sugar Ray Leonard fight really hard. Was this fight a work and if not, why was WWE pushing it?
The fight wasn't a work, but it was promoted by WWF, which is why they pushed it so hard on their TV and even the original Summerslam PPV. The fight did not draw well on PPV, which is why they did not attempt any similar ventures.
Why in the world is WWE reinforcing the idea that Daniel Bryan is too small? Not the way to push a guy in my opinion!
My theory on that is that by bringing it up in a way where Vince McMahon is mocking Bryan, only for Bryan to again and again prove Vince wrong, they are taking any potential criticism and silencing it by "showing" at detractors why Bryan is the real deal. I could be completely wrong, but that's the only idea I have as to why they would point out any potential criticism!
If the first 5-10 early years of ROH had the money and TV as TNA did or if TNA ran their company like ROH did (great wrestlers, make the belt important, great wrestling, make it serious, great booking) would that have changed wrestling, be successful and picked up the real wrestling fans who left when all was left was WWE 's sports entertainment?
It may have helped ROH build their audience, but change wrestling? No. WWE is far too powerful. No one is ever going to overtake them. They have generations of nationally educating an audience that what they present "is" what pro wrestling should be. They are too far ahead of the game now. They will never be overtaken.
Why did Austin Aries leave ROH? Did he retire? How long between his last ROH run and his current TNA run?
Aries left ROH because he wasn't happy with his pay and his push. So, he went and worked for Dragon Gate USA and thought of retiring, but the TNA offer came in.
