The Smackdown script was re-written over the course of the day yesterday and wasn't finalized until about two hours before the show.
Since we've gotten this question about 23 times in the last two weeks, CM Punk is set to return at the Payback PPV. It's not a storyline tease that doesn't come through. He's scheduled to return to the road that night for the company.
There were a lot of people who were shocked at the big reaction Zack Ryder received at Smackdown last night. Why, I have no idea, as they were in his hometown and he's always going to be the local guy who did great to those fans, no matter how bad WWE bungled him on TV. i am told the company does actually have a plan for Ryder going forward, which is why he is growing his hair out, so we will see.
Rosa Mendes is scheduled to return to WWE next month when they run in Texas.
The official title of the forthcoming WWE DVD release featuring matches from Madison Square Garden will be: "The Best of WWE at Madison Square Garden."
