In regards to a question asked about Andy Kaufman, what is the reason he hasn't been inducted into the HOF? I mean he worked with Jerry Lawler and of course je would be happy to induct him. Has it ever been discussed to induct him?
There are a few reasons. One is that he is dead, so it would be posthumous and they would probably have to clear it with his estate. The draw of a celebrity is getting them to show up (and the pub they bring). Also, the angle happened in Mid-South, not the WWF.
Johnny Curtis has been in the WWE for what seems like forever and after years of being stuck in developmental and not really much main roster time out of nowhere he has his first match under a new character against Chris Jericho at WrestleMania out of all places and people! Is this some reward for him waiting patiently for so long for his big opportunity?
Vince doesn't reward young guys for waiting for their time. It's purely a matter of timing.
I have been noticing my television viewing patterns have been changing. Years ago, during the 90's and even early 2000's, if I wanted to see a wrestling show I had to either make sure I was home to view it or I could set my VCR to record it. Presently, though, I can DVR everything. Live reports were out there, but not as prevalent as they are now. I am noticing, though, that I have not watched an episode of WWE (any of them), TNA or ROH in many months, even though they are DVR'ed. I might check the site for live updates, or as the current product is, skip it entirely due to lack of interest in what is being presented weekly. Most episodes get deleted without ever being watched. My question is this ... do you feel that running live (or as close as live can be) reports of shows hurts the overall viewership of the product? I know that it is much easier to read the live report and MAYBE go and watch a certain segment than sit through hours of stuff that is the same old, same old. Would the site's hit count suffer greatly by running the RAW reports after the West Coast feed is complete? I know I can be just as entertained reading a live report of WrestleMania versus paying $70 for a product that is not currently worthy of my sparse monies.
We report on shows as they happen. They happen on East Coast time (hell, I live out West, so I adjust). There is no reason to delay our reports. Honestly, if you are choosing to read a report rather than watch that tells me your interest level is just really low.
Any chance Kane will get to beat up Pete Rose this year?
It would be pretty contrived if he did so I will put it at 50/50.
Eddie Gilbert died before WWE started buying everyone out. Do you think he would have had a good run in the big time.? He was great on the mic.
He was also really small. He was around back in the day. He did great work in Bill Watts' UWF. Hell, he booked ECW before Paul Heyman came in. Vince McMahon knew he was out there and never pushed him. WCW never did either. So no, I think he was more of a regional talent.
