NAME CHANGE FOR DGUSA STAR, EXCITEMENT OVER AMBROSE DEBUT, PETERSON CUP, LAST CHANCE FOR DGUSA SALE AND MUCH MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2012-11-27 15:14:04

Samuray del Sol will work as Octogon Jr. going forward in Mexico for AAA. The plan is (for right now anyway) to keep working as Sol in Dragon Gate USA since he has made a name for himself with that name Stateside.

The new DGUSA.tv website launch is being delayed until the company is 100% happy with it. It could launch at any point but they don't want to flip the switch in the middle of the holiday season and have problems since obviously they are a small hand to mouth company and need to make every dollar they can without issue. The Black Friday sales were way up in comparison to the year before. WWNLive.com did especially well, which the promotion really needed after taking a beating on their triple shot the weekend after Hurricane Sandy hit in the Northeast.

The company is absolutely thrilled about the former Jon Moxley being brought up to the main WWE roster as Dean Ambrose as he was the first homegrown talent to make it to the next level. For fans looking to check out older Moxley footage, Gabe Sapolsky suggested the EVOLVE 7 event noting, "That shiow will always be a special DVD to me because Jon gave us his final independent wrestling match. We used that opportunity to put him in the ring with Austin Aries and then we had a special moment with his farewell ceremony afterwards. To make the DVD even better we included the match he had against Roderick Strong for the FIP Title."

The promotion has extended their huge holiday sale through Friday at midnight with EVOLVE DVDs cut to 33%, DGUSA DVDs at 50% off and gear at 40% off at www.dgusa.tv.

The promotion is looking to return to the West Coast in January.

EVOLVE will be hosting a toys for toys drive at their 12/8 event in Voorhees, NJ, so they are asking fans to bring new, unwrapped toys for donation to needy children.

The first four competitors for the 2012 Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup in Ybor City, Florida are Jonathan Gresham, Lince Dorado, Mike Cruz and Shane Strickland. The tournament, held over two nights, will be broadcast via WWNLive.vom as iPPVs.
