THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION AND WHAT IT MEANS TO PRO WRESTLING, THE POPE, TNA WRESTLEMANIA WEEKEND AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2012-10-26 10:00:00
I read where Trish Stratus took part in a music video for TNA Knockout star Mickie James. If James had the pull could she convince Stratus to sign with TNA in a limited role just like Brock Lesnar with WWE?

No, there's no chance of that happening.

Where will TNA be when WWE has both Hell in a Cell and Wrestlemania?

TNA has no house shows scheduled for either of those dates. Wrestlemania weekend, they will be running in Long Island, NY and Rahway, NJ, however. Maybe they can send Abyss with some balloons to welcome WWE to New Jersey?

With WWE putting out a casting call for women between the ages of 18 to 30 for the opportunity to become WWE Divas will this possibly lead to WWE releasing the likes of Natalya Neidhart, Tamina, Kaitlyn and so forth to make room for them? What role will they expecting to perform? I can't see Natalya taking on someone with no wrestling experience. Opinion?

Everyone has a shelf life within the wrestling business. I don't think there will be a drastic bloodletting on the Divas end, because they aren't going to debut new women two days from now.

What's the latest with D'Angelo "The Pope" Dinero and TNA?

Dinero is out with a broken collarbone.

If President Barack Obama is re-elected or if Mitt Romney becomes President do you see either possibility affecting WWE, TNA or ROH in any way? In a business way so to speak.

Yes, because both secretly want to outlaw professional wrestling! Seriously, come on! Obviously any political move eventually has ripples for companies, but to think either one of them winning will mean sweeping changes to pro wrestling? No. NO. NO. NO. (Now I know how Daniel Bryan feels!)
