EXPLAINING LAST NIGHT'S RAW, SHOW AND PUNK SET TO TEAM UP, HEAVYWEIGHT LOBBYING FOR MCMAHON, NXT NOTES AND MORE

By Dave Scherer on 2012-10-23 12:40:42

For those of you have asked me to make sense out of what passed for logic on Raw last night I will do my best to explain it later today on my hotline.  I am not saying I will actually explain it, but I can give you some new background on some of creative's thought process.

The announced dark match for the 12/17 Raw in Philadelphia is Big Show and CM Punk vs. John Cena and Sheamus.

New Jersey governor Chris Christie, a heavyweight in the Republican party (both figuratively and literally) is campaigning for Linda McMahon in Connecticut as she tries to win one of their two US Senate seats.  She is in an extremely close battle there and has a legitimate chance of winning.

Jeff Sheridan sent word that The Big Show was on Opie and Anthony's show today.  It will be re-aired again at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. ET on Sirius channel 206 and XM channel 105.

NXT will be running it's first show in West Palm Beach, FL on 10/26 and Alberto Del Rio will be there signing autographs beforehand.

Speaking of NXT, Devin Cutting reporting. ... WWE will be holding NXT tapings at Full Sail University on these dates:

November 1st & 15th
December 6th
January 10th & 31st

Here's a video of an interview that CM Punk did at Ringside Fest this past weekend, which of course is put on by our good friends at www.RingsideCollectibles.com.
