In the Florida State Court, Hogan filed against Bubba (The Love Sponge) Clem and his ex-wife Heather Clem for secretly taping Hogan while having private "intimate relations" in a "private bedroom".
Hogan's attorneys noted that Hogan did not know about the taping and did not give permission for the taping. They stated Hogan had every reason to expect privacy like anyone else would in their own bedroom. They said the actions of the Clems went against the "bounds of human decency." They did not specify what sort of damages they were seeking against the Clems.
A federal lawsuit was also filed against Gawker.com for posting clips of the tape against Hogan's rights of privacy in an attempt to make money off the footage. After Gawker was advised that Hogan was not taped with his permission and demanded it be removed, the website refused to remove it. They are seeking $100 million dollars in damages against Gawker Media, the parent company of Gawker.com.
The suits are also demanding that all rights to the sex tape and all copies be handed over to the Hogan legal team so they are immediately destroyed.
They promised that all persons and entities involved will be "punished to the fullest extent of the law." They are still pursuing potential criminal charges for those who taped and disseminated the video.
Hogan's attorney noted that they had warned months ago, they were going to go after anyone responsible. He said if there is any additional material out there, they have "plenty of room" to add additional defendants to the lawsuit.
Hogan and his attorneys declined additional comment on the matter after the statement.
