KURT ANGLE DISCUSSES BATISTA AND KING MO CHANGING SPORTS, MMA AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2012-09-27 22:24:17
Kurt Angle appeared via satellite on MMA Uncensored Live on Spike TV following Impact Wrestling tonight.

Angle was asked about King Mo and Dave Bautista crossing over into the other's sport. Angle said Mo has the charisma and needs to get his technique down. He keeps getting calls from Mo asking when the soreness from training goes away. Angle said most people don't realize how grueling pro wrestling is. He said Bautista was a special case and was has a legit KO punch, saying he saw Bautista in the "real fights" in WWE.

Angle said that he would have gone the MMA route had that business broken through in 1999 the way it has today. He loves it but in 1999, there wasn't money in it the way there was in pro wrestling. He doesn't regret it but wishes it could have happened.

Angle gave his side of not taking part in The Ultimate Fighter season several years back. Angle said that it wasn't money and it wasn't a physical issue but Dana White wanted him to fight within 4 1/2 weeks and Angle knew he couldn't do it in that time and it fell apart from there and that was it. He doesn't hold any ill will.

Angle was asked about his "real wrestling match" with Brock Lesnar in WWE. Angle said it was true and that when Lesnar was healthy, he was one of the most dangerous men on the planet.

Angle was asked about fighting in MMA. He tried not to give an answer and was called on it. He said that he tried to get into the Olympics last year and kept getting hurt while training. He said he was 43 and the answer was probably no, but if someone gave him the right fight with the right offer, he'd be crazy enough to get in the Octagon.
