Watching the Hall of Fame Sting getting beat down again with no run in of other TNA wrestlers to save him, got me thinking what is the point? I know if it happens earlier in show these beat down and save sequences help set up matches for later in the show. I guess I would see the point of Bobby Rude coming down. But I guess sometimes I'm clueless as to why they have beat downs that leave me, like Sting's and others, which to me are quite senseless as an audience participant?
In general, they are done to set up a match/angle or explain a guy taking some time off. It's too early to say if it was useless or not until we see where it goes.
Is there any chance you would add a favorite Twitter account to your year end awards, or should we just assume Scott Steiner runs away with it?
I could see us doing it and yeah, Steiner gets my vote for sure.
Ok I'm a wrestling fan but a bigger movie fan. Huge movie fan. And Rock broke into the movies and got even bigger success when he left. Who do you think can get to Rock's popularity in the movies who is currently on the roster. And do you think that that person has to leave the business to get that success.
Honestly, Rock is a once in a lifetime talent where the business is concerned. He rose in the movies because he always seemed like he was more than a wrestler when he was working and it carried over. I don't know of anyone right now that I can say that about (and keep in mind that a lot of wrestlers have been given roles in WWE movies). If there is someone out there they probably would have to leave the business and dedicate themselves completely to their craft if they hoped to achieve the success that Rock has.
What would be one match that could get the buyrate Rock vs. Cena did. Usually people would say Hogan vs. Austin but do you think anyone else could do it?
Whatever the match is it would have to be on WrestleMania because Cena and Rock didn't do that buyrate on their own. I actually think The Rock vs. Brock Lesnar at Mania could top Cena vs. Rock.
I was curious about the absence of Brock Lesnar and the appearance of Paul Heyman. I'm guessing they will put together HHH/Lesnar for Summer Slam, but beyond all that, is there a possibility that Paul Heyman was brought in to fix the abysmal mess the WWE has made of Brock's return? I would love to think that Paul Heyman was able to convince Mr. McMahon that if done properly, a repackaged Brock Lesnar managed by Paul could be much more in the best interest of the company. With Paul as the mouthpiece, and Lesnar straining at the leash, so to speak, I would imagine that Brock could be taken much more seriously after the nonsense involving the no-sells by HHH and Cena after they were both brutally beaten down. Lesnar needs a restart, Paul can be the key-but will Vince let them do it?
Brock signed a limited dates contract, meaning WWE can't put him on TV every week. Heyman was brought in as a way to keep Lesnar's name on TV while not running through the dates before next year's Mania.
