Ring of Honor head Joe Koff will be holding a media conference call tomorrow afternoon to address the iPPV issues with Border Wars and the company's plans going forward with iPPV. Obviously, the company realizes that their technical issues caused them to drop the ball in a major way and they are trying very hard to make good with the audience, offering refunds to anyone who wants them as well as well as free showings for their June Best in the World.
One bright spot of the Border Wars iPPV was that the walk-up ticket sales in Toronto was the largest in some time for the company.
Jim Cornette was not in attendance as he was unable to get over the Canadian border during the company's last shows there. Delirious ran the locker room, although he pretty much does in conjunction with Cornette regularly.
The Border Wars replays are up at www.rohwrestling.com/ippv. Davey Richards vs. Kevin Steen was just great. The actual show was excellent for the most part (I hated that ether finish, totally lackluster for a Fight Without Honor) and it's a real shame the iPPV problems completely decimated whatever good the company could have gotten out of the show. The current stream that is up for the replay will be replaced by a better quality stream as soon as ROH's production team has it prepared and ready to go. All purchases include a VOD of the show for one year.
ROH will be taping TV this Friday 5/18 back at the Du Burns Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. No matches have been announced as of this writing.
ROH returns to Richmond, VA on Saturday 5/19 featuring:
*ROH Tag Team champs The Briscoes vs. House of Truth
