Just got back from attending the TNA house show in Ontario,
California. Had a great time as always when it comes to TNA house shows. First match was Gunner vs the Pope
D'Angelo Dinero - Gunner was victorious over the Pope. The crowd was
not too happy about the Pope losing.
Match had the home town girl Tara defeating Winter in a
very good but too short knockouts match. Good back and forth action, Tara won
after hitting the widows peak after Winter was kissed by Earl Hebner.
Mr. Anderson defeating Robbie E was the third contest of the evening.
Match started off with Robbie E interrupting Mr. Andersons's self introduction
to fist pump. Match was rather quick. Fourth match was Jeff Hardy taking on Kurt Angle.
Match was physical with Angle hitting a few nice looking suplexes . Hardy won
with a twist of fate and swanton bomb. Crowd was split with the cheers in this
one. After intermission Samoa Joe and Magnus took on Daniels and
Kazarian in a very good match. Crowd was really into Joe and Joe seemed
be enjoying himself. Match was a very good back and forth contest. Daniels and
Kazarian did a good job riling up the crowd before the match. In the main event
Rob Van Dam defeated Bobby Rude in a non title match. RVD had a
live band playing his entrance theme. Match was ok, nothing special. RVD won
after a 5 star frog splash to send the crowd home happy.
Notes:I'd say there were about 1,000 people in the building....A
lot of fans thought that Hulk Hogan was going to be at the show tonight due to
the local radio advertising. I did not hear the commercial so I can't say for
sure if it was implied Hogan was going to appear....I have been to both TNA
house shows and one WWE house show in this building and I must say that I have
had a better time at the TNA shows.
